A: Microsoft is now offering the Office 2010 Trial as a Click-to-Run version. With the Click-to-Run version, Office 2010 is in its own virtualized application space and ConstructionSuite cannot access and work correctly with Office 2010.

To download an alternative version of Office 2010 follow these steps:

Uninstall the Click-to-Run version of Office 2010 from Control Panel.

Visit the site where you purchased Office 2010, and sign in with the same Live ID that you used when you first purchased Office 2010.

Click the My Account link at the top of the home page to access your Office downloads.

Click the Download button for the suite that you purchased, and then click the Advanced Options link under the Download Now button.

Also, you would be able to install Office 2010 directly from a CD to avoid using the Click-to-Run version.
08 13 23 Integrated Wood Door Openings
08 52 00 Wood Windows
If I add additional Subtasks I get this:
08 - Openings
Install Exterior doors
Install Interior doors
It would be incredibly helpful to get this:
Install Exterior doors
Install Interior doors
08 52 00 Wood Windows

It would allow the 08 13 23 duration to be based on the 2 sub-subtasks.
It would make the scheduling feature much more usable and easy to manage.

When I click on my weather icon or link to UDA support in the help menu I get this message...

I use chrome but never had trouble before. Ever since I had to re-install this has not worked?

I also have to manually tell my estimates "detailed" in excel since I had to do the re-install.

Neither of these are big issues but I want everything to work properly... suggestions?

Is there a way to import and export my external workbooks without loosing the macro and formula functionality?

I would like to utilize UDA's database for all of my documents, but currently if I import a spreadsheet I loose all of my macro functionality.

I would like to be able to drag my spreadsheet into UDA, but also drag it back out again without loosing everything.

I have a group type called "Warranty Maintenance Program" I want to export these special clients into an excel spread sheet.

Is there some way I can just export that group type or do I export the entire database and then sort and delete in Excel?

Or how is the best way to do this with the base residential version?

Thanks.

Contracts vs. proposals

I have a few questions about contracts and proposals:

First of all, I don't understand the point of a Proposal and Contract feature as I have always used the Contract as the Proposal, so I guess I would like to know the thinking behind this.

It seems that proposals can be made from an estimate with the proposal wizard. This proposal wizard allows for self populating information from the estimate including $$$$ amounts from the estimate. The contracts seem to self populate some client information but do not include $$$ from the estimate. Also I can't figure out how to make a template for a proposal that adds Text and functional elements such as new $$$ total at the end of the text that I add to it. I have figured out how to alter a proposal that I have already made, but want to make it my own and not have to redo it every time I make a new estimate.

Thanks for any help you can give on this

I would like to see in the project totals report the ability to see the markup for each category listed separately, not included in the total cost. When I run a report to look at the total gross profit, I should be able to identify where the profit is, or just as importantly, is not.

I can get these numbers from the screen, but not in the printed format. So, I have to look at the total for line item markups on the screen and hand write them into the project totals report then add my overhead and markup up numbers to arrive at my total gross profit. Am I missing something here, if not, seems like it should be an easy fix.
