Any quick tips to improve Speed?

Very slow when I have QB open, Chief Arch open, and CS open?
I like to move around all three while estimating.

What is the speed of the processor and amount of ram in your system? These are the 2 biggest factors in performance of applications.

Have you defragmented your hard drive recently?

Do you have many programs running in your system tray?

In addition to what Ross mentioned about hardware, other 'back ground' applications like backup software and certain anti-virus programs can drastically decrease your speed.
